Glass Desert

The Glass Desert ("Kaw'xoc" in sandi) is a large desert in the north central part of the continent of Laas. Technically part of the countries of Lifuapora, Tialga and Dumu, it is mostly uninhabited due to the shifting sand being impossible to build on.
Few flowers and shrubs can survive in the sands, however there are some roaming tribes who descended from the Ur'gava called the Xokava. They have designed "floating tents" called pwiatee, travel by sled, and live off of dried atee meat and fire fruit among other things.
Most people found in the desert are just trying to make it from one side to the other as quickly as possible.
During the COLD SEASON, the sand freezes with a thin layer of ice over the top that creates a shining, reflective surface giving it its name. However, this ice makes it even harder to pitch a tent.
