Bahreyni (bah-RAY-nee)
A Bahreyni is a traditional funerary ceremony and celebration held by the followers of The Tinavri. The body is loaded onto an oil soaked platform that's covered with flowers and living vines. It's then paraded through the village, town, or city to a body of water...either a river, sea, or a man-made pond specifically used for this purpose. As it is pushed into the water, it is lit on fire, and the people cheer as the three realms of the Tinavri merge as one - water, representing Padathvatri, the plants representing Indriathna, and fire representing Kishatri.
