Choker

Chokers are nasty, opportunistic creatures that’re believed to have evolved in the Feywild. The common Cavern Choker tends to lair in underground ruins or caves, emerging at night to catch small game or lone travelers. The larger Feygrove Choker often inhabits woods, seeking to catch larger prey to feed its hunger.
Chokers often try to feed on Adventurers who’re already engaged in battle, picking a weak-looking one at the edge of a battle, and trying to single him out for feeding. Their long arms end in hand-like clusters of tentacles that’re lined with bony spikes that make their grip hard to escape, and they can elongate past the length of the choker’s own body. They attempt to throttle their prey with these strong tentacle-hands, hence their name.
