Drake

Drakes are small to large reptilian creatures, possibly of Draconic origin. They are fairly common, being only somewhat less common and accepted than cats and dogs, even among relatively poor households and farms. One farm may have a cat, while another may have a spiretop drake to keep crows away. A guard animal may be a dog or, for wealthy folk, a guard drake. The commonality of drakes works in both beneficial and negative ways. Wolves prey on livestock, but some large drakes prey on people.
