Mantrap

A mantrap is a large, carnivorous plant native to the Veldonati Jungle. They arrange their large, fern-like fronds extending out on the forest floor. When they detect movement, they puff out a small cloud of enticing spores that lure creatures closer. When something touches the center of their "trap", the leaves slam upwards with shocking force, and they begin to produce digestive enzymes to break prey down to a more easily processed slime.
