Sanctum of the Ancestors
The Sanctum of the Ancestors is a place found in every city with a significant population of Tishad daj Ahti in Vybhunai. It is usually a ziggurat built somewhat apart from where people live, but also with a path leading from the center of town to it. Within, hollow cement statues contain the preserved bones of the Mahatvapoori Purakha, the revered ancestors of those who follow the Ahti Purakha. Followers of this faith come to speak with the spirits of their ancestors and receive their wisdom. Because they are such important places, artisans often add to them over lifetimes, turning them into exquisite works of art.
