Thri-kreen

Thri-kreen are a semi-humanoid race of mantis-like insect people. They originally hail from the jungles of Velnar, and they got a late start in migrating to other continents due to their dislike of water and cold. They have spread, however, and they can now be found in small pockets in various warm areas all over Tol.
Thri-kreen are generally nomadic, with a wandering nature second only to that of Halflings. They tend to follow the food, exploring new areas and trying new things. Their wanderings often bring them into conflict with more aggressive and territorial creatures. Their hatred for the empire-building Yuan-Ti is well-known, and the two species will generally attack each other on sight.
