Scions of Marrow

Those among the Scions of Marrow are a viciously zealous sect of Azcareb's followers. They are automatically hostile towards anyone who does not have a skeleton; for they are inevitably agents sent by Tolaris to undermine their religious efforts. They generally form their own separate communities away from others and keep to themselves, but their ultimate goal is to fully expose and destroy the cores of any planet they find; which causes plenty of environmental and seismic problems along the way and is inevitably apocalyptic. They believe that life is filled with countless mental and physical prisons that prevent your soul from achieving happiness and fulfillment. These prisons must be overcome to be liberated from Tolaris' spiritual tyranny, and the ultimate prison is the gravitational pull of terrestrial bodies; which keeps them from enjoying the full space and majesty of the universe.
It is uncommon, but the Scions of Marrow have been known to sally out from their holds to engage in various acts of liberation. They tend to leave a path of destruction in their wake and will perhaps too eagerly give their lives to accomplish any task they've set themselves upon. Reaching out to them for assistance, whether as refuge from slavers or help in freeing slaves, usually results in both slave and slaver never being heard from again. As one can imagine, it is unwise for any authority figure to earn their attention. Should this happen to you or your king, the common understanding is that no amount of prayers or repentance will save you as long as a single Scion yet draws breath. The source of their unyielding tenacity, or how they even learn of the world outside their holds, is largely a mystery.
