The Infinite Corridor
The Infinite Corridor is a name given by mortals to a massive expanse of desert (about the size of Antarctica). It was made by Neb-Neter-U as a wall between the world and Duat.
After the fall of the Unnamed Tower, Abram started developing powerful magical artifacts. Some of these artifacts were deemed by Neb-Neter-U to be too powerful for mortal hands, so with the aid of Lyssa, he stole them and hid them within Duat. He foresaw that it was but time until Abram sent his people after the items, so he turned the desert into a death trap:
Furious sandstorms that move the dunes around and flay at mortal flesh while scorching it with winds hot as a furnace come out of nowhere to slay at whoever is foolish enough to venture deep within the Corridor.
Massive plains of ash-like powder that stick to the sides of your lungs, turning into acid as they come in contact with water inherent to one's body.
Huge fields made of the bones of the leviathanic creatures that oftentimes die and come ashore, now festering pits for monstrosities of undeath and swarms of flesh eating insects.
Points hidden in the desert where low magic turns erratic and very dificult to cast, some of them being dead huge dead magic zones where the simplest of spells are unable to be cast.
Pools of mud hidden underneath brittle plates of sandstone that trap and drown foolish adventurers.
Plains made completely out of stone, where nothing grows and nothing lives. A horrible wasteland that turns as hot as a pan when the sun is at its peak.
All of this on top of countless mirages, and wandering sands; making guidance, both magical and mundane extremely difficult at best. And of course the maddening heat, that can easily turn a man insane in a heartbeat.
Yet man still dares dwell in these cursed lands, there is a network of caves and holes dug up by desert tribes. These people gave the Corridor its name.
