Wielder of the Alien Malison

There are a number of folk in Tolaris and their planar neighbors who suffer from a strange, particular curse. The people afflicted endure any number and variety of symptoms, but the sudden albinism and indecipherable runes covering the victim's bodies form a common link. Little is known about this condition, but through time and experimentation, one defining attribute has been found. By speaking what they believe the runes to mean, with a strong enough image in mind, Wielders of the Alien Malison can manifest magical effects. Some effects come easier than others, and rare accounts from these bizarre magicians claim they feel as if the curse itself has a preference. A claim which is largely dismissed as superstitious nonsense.
