Ironbeard

The Ironbeard Clan is an oddity among the other clans as a relatively young offshoot of the Worldshapers. The working of metals is a precise, elegant art that many assume would be within the control of the Worldshaper clan, but a fierce rivalry exists between the members of the two clans. The entire process and science of metallurgy, from the smelting of ore into alloys to the careful metalwork of filigree and engraving, is solely owned by the Ironbeard clan and zealously defended from any Worldshaper incursion. Most of the Ironbeard clan make their living as farriers or blacksmiths, eschewing the artistic tendencies of the Worldshaper in favor of sturdy, utilitarian craft. Some older Ironbeard believe that the most beautiful piece of craftsmanship is the one that outlives its own usefulness, and more say as much to their Worldshaper cousins to mock the other clan.
