VanetDescription
The Kholmir are a race of tall aquatic humanoids with four arms (a primary and secondary set), two legs and a long tail. Their feet are webbed, as are the hands on their primary arms. Their secondary arms host scythe-like blades as opposed to hands, and are used to hold themselves in place under water. The males stand between 2.3 meters to 2.7 meters, while females stand 1.9 meters to 2.3 meters. However the height of the freshwater subspecies is much smaller than the standard salt/brackish variety, with males reaching a maximum of 2.3 and females reaching a maximum of 1.9 meters. Their skin color varies from blue to grey or even brown, but most of this skin is obscured by form-fitting plates of a bone-like substance that varies from grey to white. Their faces host four eyes (primary forward facing eyes and secondary side eyes) and a pair of bony mandibles that form a mask-like mouth covering when fully closed. Their mouths are filled with needle-like fangs, and the bite-force of both their mouth and mandibles is incredibly powerful. They have long tails that are flanked by long fins, and possess a bony blade at the tip. The males of the species have more streamlined tails that have red fins, whilst females have aqua or green tail fins. Males of the species boast jagged protrusions on their elbows and red fin-like structures on either side of their heads (where a humans ears would be).Cultures
The Kholmir are adept farmers native to the reefs of Karadim, an underwater kingdom east of the Easfari desert south of Kessofare. They are split into two primary cultures, the Karad, who make up 85% or so of their race, and the Kesseli, who are native to the oasis's of Kessofare.History
