History

Abelia is an angel, a bard whose music used to echo through the first heaven of Mount Olympus, Lunia. However, like many angels, she too was drafted into the legions of angels sent to battle the devil in the celestial war. Alongside many of her kind, she crossed the planes to lend in Luxuria, the first layer of the seven hells.   Trading her lute for war drums, she followed the march of the army, battling devils through the infernal plane, until her squadron was decimated. She was among the lucky few who survived, but she soon discovered that lying was a fate worse than death in hell.   As a prisoner, she was tossed around the basalt citadel. She saw some of her comrades being sold only for their organs to be harvested and used in devil's rituals. She saw other angels tortured publicly to serve as an example. And she was bought by the afterlife casino, to be used as a fighter in a fighting pit, a performance for the devils to watch, amused by the gruesome death delivered to the pitiful angelic fighters.   As it was her turn to fight, she witnessed the large devil who stood against them gruesomely ripping the wing off another angel, she rushed to the pit's edge, begging for an instrument, a channel for her powers, and a certain Lucianos, a beholder of this event, gave her a lute.   Using this lute, she tried to defend herself, but she was ultimately knocked out, and left for dead. When she woke up, she was still alive and healed by devils as she learned that she had been brought by Lucianos, the man who previously saved her.
