Anastasja Windrunner

Anastaja Windrunner was the first Queen of the Kingdom of Lórien, and a prominent member of the Windrunner family. She was the wielder of the legendary bow of the windrunner family carved from the heartwood of the mother tree in the Lush Mazein the Feywild, and imbued with the power of the forest. Together, Anastaja and her bow helped ensure the protection of Lórien for generations to come.

History

Anastaja was the greatest of the first elven rangers. Famed for her peerless mastery of archery and ranged combat, she swiftly rose in the ranks and, for her valor and bravery, was named the first Queen of the Kingdom of Lórien. The people of Lórien celebrated the occasion by declaring that their queen be given a weapon befitting her new status. Master weaponsmiths carved this weapon from the heartwood of the mother tree, the world tree within the Lush maze of the feywild, and imbued it with the power of the forest. Anastaja was humbled by the gift, and named it Thas'dorah, "Valor of the Forest."
Anastaja proclaimed that so long as Thas'dorah protected the kingdom, Lórien would never fall. Indeed, Lórien stood strong for generations to come.
The Queen was as good as her word. Her bow was so masterfully crafted that even a novice archer could excel with the weapon in their hands. In her hands, it became infamous. Anastaja and Thas'dorah struck fear into the elves' enemies, for when the bow was within their sight, they were within its range.
