Bewilder berries

The Bewilder Berries, also known as "Bewolder Berries" are a type of dangerous fruit that resemble blueberries in appearance.

Characteristics

Physical features

Biology

They can be found in many different regions and environments, including forests, mountains, and even along riverbanks. They are particularly dangerous because they are often found growing near other types of berries, making them difficult to distinguish from safe fruits.
The Bewilder Berries contain a potent neurotoxin that, when consumed, causes the consumer to become stunned for a period of time ranging from 1 to 12 hours. The effects of the toxin can vary depending on the amount of berries consumed and the individual's tolerance to the toxin. Symptoms of consumption include disorientation, confusion, and loss of motor control.
Eating Bewilder Berries can be very dangerous as it will prevent the consumer to defend themselves, move or even speak for a long period of time, making them an easy target for predators or enemies. Many apothecaries and healers use the toxin of the berries to make a potion that will stun an individual for a short amount of time.

Mechanically

Any creature that eats the Bewilder Berries must succeed at a DC 14 Constitution saving throw or be stunned for 1d12 hours.
