Cinder bark

Cinder Bark is a unique type of tree that serves as a favored lair for Fire Mephits. These trees hold great value for Arctic Rangers and explorers. It is crucial to store Cinder Bark in non-flammable containers to prevent accidents.   These remarkable trees are native to the elemental plane of fire and possess an incredible resistance to the intense heat of that realm. Even a small piece of Cinder Bark is capable of generating enough heat to light a torch or cook a meal. However, once removed from the tree, if the bark comes into contact with an open flame, it will explode in a fiery blast.

Mechanically

Once removed from the tree, if the bark comes into contact with an open flame, it explode. Every creature within a 5ft raidus must succed on a DC 13 Dexterity saving throw or take 4d6 fire damage.
