Core't of Stories
The Core't of Stories (pronounced Court) is a public inn located within Aechivia in the feywild. Often refered to as the Core't to not have any trouble with official courts. The Inn is managed by a winged elf only ever seen standing behind the bar counter with a well stocked shelf behind that only they are allowed to manage and stand at, calling himself the archfey of Hospitality.
The archfey of Hospitality may accept coins, just like most of Aechivia, but highly prefer to be paid with the telling and acting of stories.
On a performance check of 7 to 13, Poor quality food and drinks can be found, and only one room is free for a single night.
On a performance check of 14 to 20, Comfortable quality food and drinks can be found, and there is room for everyone for up to 1d4 nights.
On a performance check of 20 and above, Aristocratic quality food and drinks can be found, and there is ample room for everyone with comfortable rooms.
Description
A tiefling, Axel Blaze-Breaker, can often be found playing in the middle of the Core't, a forced smile beaming on his face. The inn features a large wooden board off to one side of the main open-area of the inn. Upon which is listed several different rules and guidelines. Below are a few examples .- Payment is made up front, in the form of entertainment and merriment. Coins carry no value here.
- Smoking while physically among the Core't is forbidden.
- Only the Bartender is allowed behind the bar. Core't orders.
- Stealing is forbidden, including breath and non-material hearts.
- Spitting drink in surprise will be seen as wasteful and result in being expelled from the Core't, unless preceded by terrible news and followed with a dramatic cord being played on the organ.
- None may speak the words Thank You.
- All humiliating tales are good for 1 free drink at the bar.
- Flashing one top will grant them one free drink, staying topless will grant them one free meal.
- Removing the curse affecting our bard Axel will grant whoever do it eternal gratitude and a room for the rest of their life.
Pricing
The inn does not take payment in coins. Upon requesting services, the Archfey will request a moment to check their supply or ledger, and encourage the character to share a story while they wait. The DM will then prompt the character to make a Performance check. If the player refrains or refuses to make the check or rolls lower than a 7, the archfey will have nothing for the characters.On a performance check of 7 to 13, Poor quality food and drinks can be found, and only one room is free for a single night.
