Court of Crows

The Court of Crows is a large thieves' guild operating within the Feywild. This secretive organization extends its influence across various courts and collaborates with individuals from all races. What sets them apart from common thieves is their unique focus: they steal intangible possessions such as memories, reputations, titles, and other non-physical items. Much like their namesake, crows, the Court of Crows has a particular penchant for pilfering memories of the departed.   Members of the Court of Crows adhere to a set of strict rules:
  • They are forbidden from harming or stealing from fellow guild members.
  • Thievery must not result in Death.
  • The guild strictly forbids harming or robbing the impoverished.

Hierarchy

The Court of Crows is organized into four chapters, each of which operates within different courts across the Feywild. These chapters are led by Corvuses, and collectively, the four Corvuses are considered the guild's highest authority. Those directly under a Corvus's command are referred to as Wings and manage the day-to-day activities of their respective chapters. Feathers are leaders of smaller groups known as murders, and Talons are the lowest-ranking members, belonging to murders.

History

The Court of Crows originated during the conflict against the Crones, a Time when thievery became a scourge in the Summer Court. In response to the horrors of war, many individuals fled, and some among them turned to stealing the most cherished memories and feats of others. Over time, this band of thieves developed into an organization. They initially earned the nickname "the crows" due to their penchant for snatching the proudest accomplishments of the deceased.   As they expanded their operations during the War of Three Nations in the Autumn Court, they grew in influence and popularity, allowing them to establish a presence near the borders of various courts. To signify their more prominent status, they rebranded themselves as the Court of Crows.
