Evocation

The evocation school of Magic included spells that manipulated the Weave in order to produce a desired end. In effect, they created something out of nothing. Many of these spells produced spectacular effects, and evocation spells could deal large amounts of damage. Many iconic offensive spells such as magic missile, lightning bolt and fireball were of the evocation school. A wizard who specialized in evocation was known as an evoker.
When a spell or effect rooted in a school of magic is unleashed, the weave takes on the characteristics and appearance of this magic, such as the characteristic red glow of evocation.

Subschools

Arcane

These spells channel the weave to created magical effect out of thin air, bolt of lightning, ball of fire, aves of ice, etc. More powerful spells of this type can even use raw weave and blast it directly at their opponents.

Healing

These spells channel positive energy that heals the wounds of creatures. More powerful spells of this type can even call the soul of a dead creature back from the afterlife, should it wish to return.
