The mayor of Gladgate has anyone trying to leave the town hung as according to him "only the Demon's child would want to leave such an entertaining place". Despite its charming atmosphere, there is a dark and restrictive undercurrent to life in Gladgate.

The city's edges are bustling, filled with coaches of performers and troops stopping there to perform in town, never to leave again; many of them now abandoned.
The mayor's manor is probably one of the largest buildings in the city, second only to the large Opera House.

In the city of Gladgate, known for its vibrant celebrations, an annual grand festivity takes place called the Masquerade of the Hollow to celebrate the city's founding. Everybody is invited to parade in the street with beautiful costumes and masks while partaking in the night's various activities, including festival booth, entertainments, fireworks and more.
It is one of the rare occasions where outsiders are welcomed into the city, allowed to immerse themselves in the revelry before departing.
Throughout this city-wide festival, the cultists responsible for maintaining order are thinly spread, ensuring the smooth flow of attendees at the entrances and exits while also striving to provide an extraordinary entertainment experience for all.
Within the heart of the festival, a highly exclusive event known as the Gala of Masks is held within the Governor's mansion. This private affair is reserved for a select few, adding an air of mystery and intrigue to the festivities. Attendees are adorned in elaborate masks, indulging in a night of lavish celebrations and captivating entertainment.
