Graveflower

The Graveflower is a peculiar plant that serves as a catalyst for connecting with the souls of the deceased. It is a rare and sought-after ingredient among practitioners of Necromancy and those seeking to commune with departed spirits. This plant is often found in place of numerous Death, such as battlefield, ghoul's den, or graveyard.   The Graveflower's appearance is rather unassuming, with gnarled roots and pale, wilted leaves. Its true power, however, lies in the unique ritual that can be performed with it. To unlock its magical properties, the Graveflower must be harvested, dried, and then brewed into a potent elixir.   Once the elixir is prepared, it must be buried in the ground alongside a deceased body for a period of 1d6 days. During this time, the Graveflower's essence infuses with the soil and connect with the deceased's soul. The elixir undergoes a transformative process, imbuing it with the ability to facilitate communication with the deceased.   After the designated time has passed, the elixir is carefully unearthed and poured into the mouth of a corpse, invoking the spell known as "speak with dead"   Due to its link with the soul, and the often sacred aaspect of souls; graveflowers are seen as bad omens, and cultivating or using them is illegal within Tana's Empire and the Lightfoot Kingdom.
