Philipe Borkensword

Philip Brokensword was a simple stable boy who dreamed of becoming Waukeen's paladin, a dream that was accomplished through his hard work as he was made a noble and is now a marshal and templar among the Church of Waukeen.

History

Early life

Philipe was but a humble stableboy in Greatback. Countless knights in shining armor asked the young boy to care for their horses, axebeak, and even hippogriff, and the young boy always looked at them with shining eyes, amazed by their tells of glory and might.   Greatback was once haunted by some kind of specter, and a paladin named Theo came in under the order of the church of Waukeen, tasked to free the village from its curse. During his duty, the paladin broke his sword, yet he defeated the monster. After the fight, Théo kneeled near the stable boy and gave him his broken sword.
"One day my boy, you will be wielding this very same sword, and you will make you parents proud... now go and train, my horses need no care"
— Theo Silverberg

Might of the church

Philipe trained every single day, waking up early to wield the broken sword at dawn before work. He owned his skill, and prayed Waukeen, thankful for the sign from her champion. He grew to be a handsome and powerful man, reaching adulthood, he started a journey to Holypertuis, hoping to serve the goddess he prayed in her church.   Philipe started a pious life of benevolence, but never neglected his training. One day, one of the church templars saw him at dawn, and impressed by the young man's abilities, offered to introduce him to one of the church's marshals for him to become a templar, an offer that Philipe gladly accepted.   He was now a templar under Waukeen's banner, something he could have only dreamed of, and slowly over the years, he grew stronger and climbed the hierarchy of the church. In 1130 AD he was made marshal under the direct command of Typhany Gallael, one of the church cardinal.
