Phoebe Bralt
History
Becoming a thief
Phoebe was born the daughter of François Bralt, an important commanders of the guard in the Duchy of High Zephyr. She lacked little in the way of needs but egregiously in any form of supervision. By the Time she had reached adolescence, she had discovered a nose for finding trouble and a bad habit of relying on her father to come to her rescue when trouble exploded around her. Phoebe's quick wit and quicker fingers blossomed as she grew to womanhood, a good thing as her father died, killed by adventurers in a fight to free a hidden monster town within the Highlanders Mountains. With no family to rely on, those who knew Phoebe hoped she would find respectability on her own. Instead, the woman joined the Magpies, hoping to use their resources to track down those who killed her father, avenging herself from those who took her privileged life away from her.Revenge
Phoebe's father's Death allowed her to join the Magpies, yet she sought revenge on those who killed him and robbed her of her once-high standing life. She searched for the adventurers who faced her father, gathering numerous rumors about them, but they were far gone, beyond her reach. Until the now-famous Wisdom Thieves, as they were called, returned to Tana's Empire, traveling north. Quickly gathering her belongings, Phoebe rushed north until she reached them in Raskam. There, she pretended not to know them, even aiding them as they sought a boat to venture to the Giant Island. Using her connections in the Magpies, she obtained a boat, which she rigged with magical scrolls to explode hours after their departure. Alone in the frigid waters of the north, those adventurers would be doomed, and she would finally enjoy her sweet revenge. She gifted the rigged boat to the adventurers, who thanked her, unaware of the trap. As they began their journey across the northern sea, Phoebe enjoyed her drinks in the local tavern. After her celebration, Phoebe began her journey south to Holypertuis, intending to strengthen her bonds among the magpies before returning to Windrin. During her time in Holypertuis, while enjoying a glass of wine, Phoebe is surprised to encounter the adventurers once again. The encounter quickly escalates into a fight that engulfs the entire tavern. Phoebe seizes the opportunity to try and escape out the back, but her path is blocked by Astriane, one of the adventurers. In a desperate attempt to evade capture, Phoebe jumps into the crowd, hoping to blend in and slip out through the main exit. However, Rakon, another adventurer, utilizes his powers to disperse the crowd and apprehend Phoebe. Unfortunately for the adventurers, the commotion attracts the attention of nearby guards, prompting the group to flee through the back door with Phoebe in tow. Uncertain of where to take their prisoner for interrogation, the adventurers decide to head for the adventurers' guild, where they requisition a room in hopes of conducting a more controlled interrogation. Once the interrogation begins, the adventurers spare no effort in using force to extract answers, while Ginette's Magic ensures that no sound escapes from the room. Through their questioning, they learn about Phoebe's father, Francois Bralt, a man they had killed earlier in their adventures. Following his death, Phoebe's life became increasingly complex, and she sought revenge. Demia intervenes, deeming revenge a feeble excuse, particularly when Phoebe implicates a wizard who had no involvement in her father's demise. Despite being aware that their actions had set off this chain of events, the rest of the group refuses to forgive Phoebe's actions and opts to silence her permanently.Family tree
