Vivenef

The Vivenef ships are a unique and rare type of vessel that are built using a special material known as Wizardwood, also known as Dragon eggshell. This wood is incredibly durable and resilient, making it ideal for building ships that can withstand the harsh conditions of the open seas.
The process of awakening a Vivenef ship is a long and complicated one, typically taking at least three generations of ship commanders. The blood of the ship's commander is required for the process, as the wood will react with it and absorb the memories and experiences of the commander to create a semblance of sentience. Additionally, at least three commanders must die aboard the ship for it to fully awaken.
Once the ship is awakened, it will become a sentient being, capable of movement and speech. The bow of the ship will move and speak, and the ship will be able to navigate on its own. This process only works if the commanders were all part of the same family or faction, as the ship's sentience is linked to the bloodline of its commanders.
Vivenef ships are highly coveted for their unique abilities and are considered a valuable asset for any seafaring nation or trading company. However, due to the long and difficult process of awakening the ship, they are also rare and difficult to come by.

Flying Vivenef

With the construction of a Skyship port in Ionguale, the gnomish flying ship are set to travel to the Dragonborn capital. The awakened vivenef, with their inherent magical power are theorized to be able to be converted to flying ship.
Due to the rarity of Vivenef, and the engineering work required to make one fly, flying vivenef are extremely rare, however a known example is the harpy, a small vivenef with a harpy figurehead that manage to fly over Tana's Empire. But the harpy is no cargo ship.
