The Order of magical Protection
The order of magical protection was created by a splinter group of the mage order. They didn't agree with the teaching of the order and created their own, to be a counterweight to the mage order.
Structure
The Order is divided in five ranks. The highest rank is the rank of warden. They are the leader of the order an govern the him as a group, but there is currently only one warden in the order and no one else tries to achieve this rank. In order to achieve this rank, you need to be voted by all current warden and high paladins.
The 2nd rank is the rank of high paladins. They are the generals and ambassadors of the order. They lead troops in to battle or are advisor for kings and other nobles in the matter of magic. You need to achieve a feat of great degree and a recommendation from a high paladin to rise to this rank.
The 3rd rank is the rank of a paladin. They are the officers and are the core of the order. They are often personal bodyguards of high paladins on a mission. They train recruits and guardians during their training and govern most of the remote places of the order. Paladins often lead a group of guardians through missions. A person needs high magical powers in order to become a paladin and finish their training. The 4th rank is the rank of a guardian. They are the most common members of the order. They are trained soldiers and fight against everything they are told to.

The order made it their duty to protect the common folk for magical danger, like demons or rouge mages or the mage order.
