Missing Chapter in Elemental Planes

Chapter 13: Sustaining Barriers

The elemental planes are sealed in their own dimension by way of the elemental barriers. In these dimensions are also the eternity prisons of the Primordial gods, sealed away beings said to be formed from the primeval chaos during the creation of Exandria. During the war between the Primordials and the Prime Gods, mortals were taught by the Arch Heart how to create their own magic without the aid of divine power. These arcanists, using their newly formed magical formulae and abilities worked with the Gods to subdue the Primordial Beings and destroying their forms. The Prime Gods then channeled the chaotic and destructive power into their elemental planes and into their prison dimensions where they were said to stay for all eternity.   The barriers of these planes were erected by the help of druidic and elemental infused individuals who named themselves The Ashari. These Ashari peoples bound themselves to keep the strength of the barriers strong and protecting the elemental rifts that continued to exist after the Calamity. Binding themselves to the barriers, their spirit and awesome power of their collective ability, keep the strength of the barriers and prison dimensions solid and eternal. The sustainment of the barriers is solely the responsibility of the Ashari people and their very life is dedicated to the power of these defenses, should the Ashari people ever fall; it is believed that the barriers would fall with it and thus a devastating wave of pure elemental chaos would be unleashed upon Exandria.   The prison dimensions however are believed to work much different then the barriers of the Elemental Planes. These dimensions can only be unlocked by the complete use of lifeblood of the Ashari Leader. Their blood must be used during a very dangerous and chaotic ritual in order to bring down these dimensions and allow the sealed and imprisoned primordial essence free to reform their avatar forms and unleash their destruction and power upon the land.
