The Darkened Seas - Final Chapter
General Summary
After a few weeks on sea, the Sea Spell finally came across some strange phenomenon concerning Serendipity. Seren, in her dream, was visited by a group of adventurers in another world named Exandria. They came across her divine Grace and brought it back to her with the help of the strange twins that they mentioned. These Twins of unknown origin or power had a hand in Serendipity's grace being returned to her. When Seren's Grace returned, she woke up from her dream and immediately woke up the Pack as well to show off that her powers have returned and rushed everyone to the main deck.
Serendipity, her face beaming with a smile of her returned divinity, trusted out her ethereal wings and took to the air once more. Basking in the power she had been missing for over a year, she took a moment to herself to just be her complete self again.
Chaos would ensure moments later when her divinity sparked a new power inside of her and thus advancing her quest to Godly Ascension one step further. Her magic now awakens chaos surges instead of wild surges which can do all manner of strange and dangerous things. Thus the awakening of her new chaotic power led to the summoning of undead from the depths of the ocean to attack the ship. A small scuffle took place but the undead were no match for the Pack and they were quickly dispatched. But the troubles were just beginning as they turned to look at their young aasimar sorcerer whose journey to being an actual goddess has begun to move forward.
The Pack went back to sleep, but Kettle had a dream as well. A dream that led him to a vast grey mist sea and he was aboard the Grey Maiden. The helmsman was Captain Benedict and he looked to Kettle and told him to "Run".
Kettle awoke with a start and told everyone to get up. The ship was at arms in moments as they noticed a ship in the mist coming towards them. They begun preparations immediately as Kettle believes from his premonition that its the Maiden. The ship begins to come into view from the mist and aboard it is a legion of undead crew members being led by Captain Benedict, Avery Carmine, and their old friend Jak. The ship begins to be attacked and boarded as the undead begin their assault. The crew members of the Sea Spell and @Tal Adorne took to the incoming undead hordes while the Pack focused their efforts on stopping the trio.
While the trio was massively overpowered and strong, some quick thinking opened up an opportunity for Faye to grab The Call of the Depths from Avery and shatter it with the help of Serendipity's Chaos Sorcery. With the Artefact destroyed, Captain Benedict was freed from his curse as well as the crew. With the help of Kettle, Captain Benedict ran through Jak with his mighty blade and killed her mortal form, thus sending her back to Nine Hells. The aftermath of the battle revealed to the Pack that in the debris of The Call of the Depths lied yet another @Shard of Being. Now armed with three of this all-powerful pieces of creation, the Pack is starting to wonder why these powerful creation items are showing up and how did they come across three already.
The man who caused the problems on the Grey Maiden, Avery, was put to death despite the disapproval of Noatak. But with the lack of remorse nor wanting to seek redemption for his actions against the crew - She reluctantly agreed and moved aside as Captain Benedict took his head.
Captain Benedict looked to the Pack and to Kettle and thanked him greatly for him and his group's aid in saving his crew and his life. He told Kettle that he has something he wants to give the Pack and that it will be waiting in Waterdeep Harbor for him when he docks. With a gesture of gratitude, the Captain gives Kettle his captain's hat and boards his ship once again. With hollering of orders, the Grey Maiden took to the seas once again as the mists fade and charted a course to retrieve the broken and lost cargo at sea from the torments his cursed ship brought under Avery.
