Order of the Gauntlet M1.P1 Report

General Summary

The first report of the first mission of the Order of the Gauntlet Participating Order members:

Undercliff

The Order of the Gauntlet

The place looked deserted, with the main farmhouse door ajar. Bridgid snuck up to the window and saw two zombified humanoids shuffling inside. She snuck in and easily dispatched one, the rest of the group barged in with Xannah and Urku dispatching the other. The team then began investigating the home, and quickly noticed there was a third corpse, this one mostly eaten, and likely one of the children who lived on the Miller farm. Eckhart noticed boot prints on the floor and Bridgid made note that they were similar to standard issue guard boots. The team began following this trail but was caught off guard by the sound of many toothy maws devouring flesh behind some bushes. The team attempted to sneak up on the origin of these sounds but were unsussucessful. The disgusting sounds halted and were replaced by the growls of a small pack of wolves that seemed to be infected with the same plague as what drove the farmers into a canabilstic frenzy.

The wolves attacked! Two dove toward Eckhart, but the mercenary dispatched one and wounded the other. The wounded wolf latched onto Eckhart's arm, but before it could do any real damage, Urku smote it to ash. Xannah took up a defensive position, ready to defend her comrades. Bridgid, fueled by her mission to take vangence upon the undead, slid in between two wolves, skewering one and wounding another. The wounded wolf, bit down on her arm and attmepted to shake her to the ground, but despite the wolve's superior size, Bridgid's reflexes were too much for the undead beast. The last wolf attempted to attack Bridgid but was waylayed by Xannah and Eckhart's flick maces. Finally, Xannah decimated the wolf that clung to Bridgid's arm, reducing it to a red smear on the ground.As the members of the Order of the Gauntlet caught their breath, they noticed the heavy boots continued until they reached the door of another farmhouse whose doorpost was smeared with still wet blood.
