Player Character {PC} build and updates:
- Standard published materials for all characters. No Unearthed arcana, play test, critical Role, Magic: The Gathering, Eberron or home brew materials unless approved by DM. If you want something unusual you can always ask. (DM may have some Homebrew items already approved.) Note that even some published sources will not be allowed. If it's not the player's handbook please clear it with the DM FIRST.
- Advancement is typically done by XP. Party Members should be present at game session to earn XP but exceptions will be made when it makes sense in the campaign. Occasional players will be told the average level of the party and can join at that level. (It makes no sense to have a level 1 character join a level 12 party fighting a Beholder.)
- Players can choose any Feat published in PHB when their class allows. Other publish feats may be allowed but always check with the DM
- Players may be able to choose to Multiclass following standard Multiclass rules (But check with DM First.)
- Please make your character public in DNDBeyond to make it easy for DM to capture statistics.
- No chaotic or neutral evil characters in the party. If character is naturally evil (Drow) they can have an evil alignment but cannot be played as evil. (the party has to work with each other, not against each other, unless the dm so deems it part of the campaign.)
- Any change to a character after it is first rolled must be approved by DM.
- For Stats: Standard stats OR use Point Buy system. We may Roll stats as a party and then everyone can use the same rolled Stats.
- Backgrounds are required prior to play. Doesn’t have to be extensive and it can be developed over the first few sessions but there has to be some background to start.
- Character traits, ideals, bonds and flaws are not optional. Choose them wisely and keep them in your characters behavior.
HP after 1st level.
- Choose average or
- Roll for it in front of DM.
- If you don’t like that roll you may roll 1 more time but you must use whatever is rolled the 2nd time even if the first roll was better.
