Membership options:
Membership in the guild has its privileges and different members have different needs. All members must abide by the general rules of the Guild. Regardless of they type of membership, Ranks within the guild have additional privileges and associated responsibilities. The 3 main memberships are:
- Independent contractor
- Member at large
- Full member
Member ranks:
- Initiate - Scout
- Agent - Tracker
- Stalwart - Hunter
- Mentor - Protector
- Leader - Hero of the Realm
General Rules:
Failure to comply with the rules will result in either a lessening of standing, a lowering of rank or a full expulsion from the guild. If rules are broken and there is a violation of law, the guild will not provide any legal protection. If the membership is terminated due to egregious breach of rules and violation of laws, the guild will report the offending party to local authorities.
- All guild members must keep a proper journal documenting their deeds.
- All treasure found or funds collected must be honestly reported.
- Side quests developed during primary goal must be honestly reported and reported in a timely manner.
- If needed by local authorities, guild members will provide assistance if able.
- Guild members will not kill non-evil entities without cause.
- Guild members will not steal from non-evil entities without guild sanctioning.
- Guild members will not desecrate non-evil holy sites, burial grounds or other sites without guild sanctioning.
- Guild members will not participate in hunting for sport alone. Any non-evil creature that is killed must be noted in the journal and reason for killing.
- Members will voluntarily submit to magic to verify truthfulness when required by rank, status or membership type.
Full Member Benefits:
- Dues: 1 gp/month for individual membership. 5gp/month for organizational membership (up to 8 members) *groups of less than 5 can choose to pay 1gp/month each and still register as a group. Groups greater than 8 cost 1gp/month/additional member.
- Fees: 1% of collected treasure up to a maximum of 1,000gp / assignment or a maximum of 100,000gp/lifetime (300,000gp for group lifetime.) Note that lifetime members have no additional dues. Note that full members are not required to pay any fees for treasure collected during a reward based assignment, however they must still report it.
- Assignments: Always given first choice with no requirement to take any.
- Legal protection: Granted for all members in good standing for any need of the group or explicit individuals in the group.
- Training: Available mentors will provide training at 20% discount rates.
- Supplies: Standard adventuring supplies offered tax free and 10% discount. 1 potion of healing offered for 25gp/assignment / month (for groups or /year for individuals)
- Healing: Temple discounts of 20% for all healing and resurrection spells.
- Long term financial security. After 10 years, Members in good standing are paid 1gp/rank level/ day for 100 years or until death.
Expectations:
- Training of other members when time permits.
- 1 week of downtime /year of using your expertise to aid the guild (tracked per individual.)
Member are Large
- Dues - none
- Fees: 3% of collected treasure up to a maximum of 2,000gp / assignment or a maximum of 200,000gp/lifetime (400,000 for a group.) (Note, after lifetime maximum is reached, Members at Large become full lifetime members and receive all benefits therein.)
- Assignments: Required to take 2 assignments / year to remain in good standing.
- Legal protection: Granted to members in good standing but solely in regards to missions.
- Training: Available mentors will provide training with 10% discount rates.
- Supplies: Standard adventuring supplies offered tax free plus 5% discount.
- Healing: Temple discounts of 10% for all healing and resurrection spells.
- Long Term financial security: After 10 years, Members in good standing are individually paid 1gp/rank level/ week for 100 years or until death.
Expectations:
- Expectations: Training of other members when time permits. Minimum of once per year (tracked per individual.)
- 1 week of downtime /year of using your expertise to aid the guild (tracked per individual.)
Independent Contractor
- Dues - none
- Fees: 10% of collected treasure.
- Assignments: Required to take 2 assignments / year to remain in good standing.
- Legal protection: Granted to members in good standing but solely in regards to missions. Always subject to truth verification by magic.
- Training: Available mentors will provide training with 5% discount rates.
- Supplies: Standard adventuring supplies offered tax free.
- Healing: Temple discounts of 5% for all healing and resurrection spells.
- Long Term financial security: After 10 years, Members in good standing are paid 1gp/rank level/ month for 100 years or until death.
Expectations:
- Training of other members when time permits. Minimum of once per year (tracked per individual.)
