The Leonin are based on the lion.
Wanderers from their pride and their home, they are often seeking experiences, adventure, or an answer to something very personal to them. Strong and fearsome, they tend to command attention when they arrive in a new location.

Class Considerations
The leonin are especially suited to a martial class, due to their stat bonuses, unarmed attack, Daunting Roar and slightly faster move speed. In fact, they are especially suited to barbarians, as that class' move bonus can give an astounding 45' of movement at 5th level, which is 50% faster than the average person.
That said, as the fantasy race has no particular disadvantages, they are well suited to any class they choose, especially if they customize their stat bonuses. A cleric or mage who uses their extra speed to get into position could be a fun character concept.
