Marchion

"Marchion" was the official title for the ruler of the city of Mirabar. The title was a hereditary one.

The title was also used in the kingdom of Cormyr for lords of border territories and was a rank of great honor. Marchions were below dukes in rank and above counts or earls. The feminine form of the word was "marchioness".

"Marchion" was a word in the Common tongue. In the Chondathan language, the word was mahrsar. In Chondathan, the word for "marchioness" was mahrsara.
