Plans for next session:
Investigate third kidnapping victim (Ravek)
Moss wants to visit temples of Tymora and maybe Beshaba; ask about random events and also Baal stuff connected to Abdel. (Sundown significant religious time?)
Finish burn salve for Jemorn the tinker; go to Bernlund's last two meetings.

Notes on kidnapping:
At least five victims so far (maybe 6?)
All family members of patriar artisans on parliament of peers (council that elects and checks dukes; ~50 members)
Ransom notes asking for large amounts of money, weird instructions. Maybe more interested in murder than coin.
No pattern of ducal allegiance noted yet (though Silvershield generally more popular than Ravenguard)
Devlin Stodge: Tailor's son, Lower City (home in Bloomridge, shop in sea tower)
900 gp ransom.
Family directed to Brompton, then 30 min to get to seedy shop in Norchapel.
Captors looked relieved. Covered faces; swarthy skin and dark hair.
Ransom note picked up by Moss.

120 pp (why higher?)
Told to climb Dusthawk Hill quickly; arrived right before sundown

Servant named Jared made the climb, can be found at Elfsong Tavern.
Ravek Shilder: Husband of art gallery owner, UC.
details unknown; returned alive.
Lara Alrevin: Wife of glassblower, UC
Most recent; kidnapping discovered at Harvestide.
Found dead the next day; body discovered in Eastway (near Elfsong?)

Notes on random chaos:
Frayed ropes and falling barrels at all docks
Rope on crane looked deliberately weakened
Falling tiles in city
Different from fires; those strike businesses only (so far)
Notes on politics:
Current dukes: Silvershield, Dillard Porter, Belynne Stelmane
Silvershield supports Wyllyck Caldwell for duke (Wyllyck got intimidated out of running by the party)
Porter does whatever Silvershield wants
No one knows what Belynne is thinking, but she's been weird lately (or maybe always?)
Ravensguard of the Flaming Fist thinks the ducal seat is *owed* to him, as successor to Abdel.
Abdel was Baal-spawn. Few people knew this.
Baal had lots of children before being murdered; apparently believed children would summon him.
All known children but Abdel and Viekang killed in earlier events; Cerevack seemed to believe killing them would summon Baal by shedding their blood (or just by shedding lots of blood period?)
Now all Baal-spawn presumed dead. This is worrying.
Should we be worried about Abdel's body/blood?
Abdel's widow Vakania is a drow elf. She may know something. She's made herself scarce post-murder; plausible explanation is anti-drow sentiments.
Notes on Bernlund For Duke:
Ibiz and Laraelra: Bernlund promised to keep UC out of LC of OC. They seemed skeptical but willing to consider. Said they'd support Bernlund if he had others behind him.
Torvod Stresk: Received fairly well. Skeptical that the patriars would respond to the desires of lower folk, but generally liked the pitch. Moss promised to look into a soak or compress for his aching morning back.
Ziras: Complained about suspicious "accidents" at the dock. Impressed by the heroes ending curfew; that really hurt her workers. Bernlund promised to look into the happenings at the docks to prove his worth.
