Demogorgon (/ˈdimoʊgɔːrgʌn/ DEE-mo-gor-gun)
Demogorgon referred to as the Imprisoned One by some followers of Helm, was the demon lord and lesser deity of domination and the draining of energy, an embodiment of madness and destruction that sought to drag all down into the infinite depths of the Abyss. He was known by many names, called Siosivash by the yuan-ti, Leemooggoogoon the Deep Father by the kuo-toa, and Ahmon-Ibor the Sibilant Beast by the troglodytes. The first tanar'ri, formed from mortals' ancient fears, even his chosen race, the ixitxachitl, dared not speak his name aloud; it alone could inspire a primal terror. Inspiring fear in even other demon lords, his self-proclaimed title of Prince of Demons was won by virtue of power and influence; many demons challenged it, but none could defeat Demogorgon and claim it.
Know me then by my best name, mortal. You face Demogorgon, Prince of Demons.— Demogorgon
Description
Demogorgon towered a full 18 feet (5.5 meters) in height, his body at once sinuous like that of a snake and powerful like that of a great ape. Two baleful baboon heads, with blue and red faces similar to those of mandrills, leered from atop his lumbering shoulders, from which two long tentacles writhed. His lower torso was saurian, like some great reptile with blue-green, scaly skin. He had an immense forked tail.
