Ever since she was a child, Aescypra has been interested in lower-class life and can often be found in taverns in Waterdeep that feature entertainment, especially if Vallius of Annap is present.

Even though Aescypra adores exploring the magical entertainment of Waterdeep, her father, Rexuroptolus, and herself intend to stay hidden so Rexuroptolus can peacefully, and quietly, continue his investigations.

While the party is at the Sea of Moving Ice, Aescypra will start working at the Igneous Ficer as a bartender to keep an eye on things in Waterdeep while her father, Rexuroptolus, pursues the party.
It is there where she becomes close to Arth Fisher, the owner of the establishment. Aescypra doesn't want to do anything with The Cult of the Dragon, for what is there to gain in a beautiful world if all search for power were to be diminished. All songs of heroes would fade into the darkness, and there would be nothing left but meaningless words of those who claim to be the true ruler.
Aescypra loves working at the tavern and talking to customers while cheerfully enjoying the atmosphere. During this time, she and Arth grow closer. Unnoticed smiles in each other's direction go by as customers come and go.
She knows however, that if she steps out from her father's shadow that she will be hunted like all other metallic dragons in the future.
Eventually, while the party travels to confront Neronvain the Green, Aescypra becomes pregnant.
When the party drops the news that the Draakhoorn is capable of controlling dragons, Arth will overhear this and walk away with a bleak expression on his face. If the party follows him they'll find him arguing with Aescypra. He wants to leave the country, but Aescypra is too scared. She's pregnant and therefore must stay in her humanoid form.
