Embery's Hideaway

The Far Realm is outside the known multiverse. In fact, it might be an entirely separate universe with its own physical and magical laws. Where stray energies from the Far Realm leak onto another plane, matter is warped into alien shapes that defy understandable geometry and biology. Aberrations such as mind flayers and beholders are either from this plane or shaped by its strange influence.    The entities that abide in the Far Realm itself are too alien for a normal mind to accept without strain. Titanic creatures swim through nothingness there, and unspeakable things whisper awful truths to those who dare listen. For mortals, knowledge of the Far Realm is a struggle of the mind to overcome the boundaries of matter, space, and sanity. Some warlocks embrace this struggle by forming pacts with entities there. Anyone who has seen the Far Realm mutters about eyes, tentacles, and horror. The Far Realm has no well-known portals, or at least none that are still viable.    Ancient elves once opened a vast portal to the Far Realm within a mountain called Firestorm Peak, but their civilization imploded in bloody terror and the portal’s location — even its home world — is long forgotten. Lost portals might still exist, marked by an alien magic that mutates the area around them.

Geography

As another day passes over into a drudged night, a lone individual may traverse the streets in the search of a cold beverage to sooth the mental aches of the day. It is at this moment when a rare happening may occur to a this lucky soul as they may stumble upon a lone door seemingly having appeared out of nowhere over the last night which appears to lure them in with a comfortable warmth. This entry leads to ''Embery's Hideaway''.

Ecosystem

Upon entrance, the visitor is met with a comfortably warm tavern which inhabits a colourful interior as differently coloured, levitating, lanterns light up the location and its visitors from different worlds and origins. These lanterns, which so delightfully brighten the main room, are in reality capsules in which the donated trinkets are stored.    The strange tavern exists out of several rooms described below:
Main room. The main room, and also entrance, is a larger room which fits several tables for visitors to eat and drink at. Directly opposite of the entrance against the northern wall stands the bar, behind which Emberyvioscious can most often be found. To the left of the room is a small stage for performers.
Western room. This room, to the left of the bar, holds a smaller lounge with couches and a curtain separating it from the main room. When the curtains are closed, it completely cuts off the sound coming from this room and sound coming into the room.
Eastern hallway. The eastern hallway leads to, seemingly, an infinite amount of rooms in which patrons may rest. These rooms are neatly set up, providing a double bed and room for storage as well as a desk. If you want a room for yourself, Emberyvioscious gives you a ticket with your room number on it, focus on it and it'll lead you to your room. Please don't lose the ticket or you'll get lost in the infinite hallway.
Basement. The lower floor of the tavern consists of a bathhouse where one may relax in the steaming sauna and private baths. The water is always at a perfect temperature.

History

Purpose

Embery's Hideaway is intended for the person in desperate need for relief, appearing close to them in the moment when they need it most. No matter the location, the entry seems to always have existed when one may try to recall it, yet only noticeable when in dire need. No matter wherefrom you enter the tavern, you always leave and end up exactly where you entered it.    The tavern itself is run by Emberyvioscious who happily attends to their customers from all over the universe. They have all food and drink anyone could ask for and staying at the tavern for 1 hour is equal to taking a long rest and appears to eradicate any deceases which fall under the effect of a lesser restoration spell. Last, but certainly not least, everyone in the tavern is under influence of a zone of truth spell. Embery's Hideaway states that this is to ensure a positive and honest atmosphere. Because after all, lying is a poor man's excuse for being a prick.    The first time the door appears a person may stay at the tavern, including food and drink, for free. Upon leaving, Emberyvioscious gives customers they like a special platinum coin with the symbol of a door on it which doesn't seem to tarnish no matter the conditions. If the customer were to wish to find the entrance again, they must first offer Emberyvioscious a most powerful trinket in the form of a highly treasured personal item such as a wedding ring. To summon the entrance, one must hold the platinum coin in their hand and the significant item in the other and plead for entrance.
