Description

Godfrey was a member of the Order of the Silver Dragon, serving under Argynvost. He and his order were set upon by Strahd and his minions, with Godfrey being slain by Strahd himself. He returned as a revenant and guarded Argynvostholt and its secrets for centuries.

Development

Godfrey is stern but has a sense of honour and fairness. He is not without mercy, as even after being attacked unprovoked, he was still willing to negotiate with his attacker’s allies and broker peace.
Godfrey was a loyal follower and a ranking officer in the knighthood; Fighting until the bitter end against an ocean of darkness. He was a lover to Vladimir; during the siege of Argynvostholt, Godfrey was slain personally by Strahd. Vladimir’s rage and hatred, mixed with his time spent has a revenant has burned those memories from his mind, leaving Godfrey alone with them.
