The Abbot

Description

No creature in Barovia is older than the master of the Abbey of Saint Markovia in Krezk. This nameless holy figure, whom others call the Abbot, was drawn to the abbey after Saint Markovia died by Strahd’s hand. He sought to restore the abbey after it fell to corruption.

Development

The Abbot first mentioned in The Abandoned Town in The Tsolenka Pass. The people from the town mentioned he agreed to help them out if they complete certain tasks for him, for he is a follower of The Morning Lord.
Once the party arrived in Krezk they visited the Abbey where they met with the Abbot himself. He allowed them to explore the premises and made it clear that he was open for any questions the party might have.
