History

The Kitsune are a long, fulfilled race of beings that once lived in the Feywilds, villages being found between the kingdoms of the archfeys. Often built around the forest they so deeply cherished, the story and legends of the Kitsune people are written into the ever aging trees themselves.   Long ago a group of Kitsune sought out the material plane, both to explore and call a new home. Coming to be known as tricksters, Kitsune are prone to be drawn to towns and cities. Anywhere they can learn from travelers and adventures and scratch that trick loving itch.   Being a race originally from the Feywilds, Kitsune are sometimes sought out by evil individuals, their tails filled with power, making for excellent components to spells and potions.

Society

Kitsune society is not exactly unique, in fact in a lot of ways they live similar to other races of the forest. They hunt only when needed, love to cause mischief, and have a very unique craft. Many Kitsune become master hunters, travel to entertain with their tricks, or even try to their hand at art. Very few leave their home for too long for fear of being discovered and hunted down. In fact, it's seen as an internal oath that if you are caught or found out you do not return until you are sure you've lost the trail. Even then some Kitsune never return to protect their home.
