Klaarg
In the treacherous and unforgiving wilderness of the Darkwood, where darkness and shadows reign supreme, there emerged a cruel and cunning bugbear known as Klaarg. From a young age, Klaarg exhibited a ruthless demeanor that set him apart from his fellow bugbears. He relished in the suffering of others, delighting in acts of cruelty and sadism. As he grew older, his dark nature only intensified, and his reputation spread like wildfire among the goblinoids and other vile creatures of the region.
Klaarg's ascent to power began when he stumbled upon an ancient cavern hidden deep within the Darkwood. Inside this forgotten sanctum, he discovered an ominous artifact: a sinister obsidian amulet that exuded an aura of malevolence. Unbeknownst to him, this artifact was a vessel of dark power, granted to its possessor the ability to dominate the minds of weaker beings.
Driven by an insatiable hunger for power, Klaarg donned the amulet, immediately feeling its dark energy course through his veins. As he began to comprehend its abilities, an unholy ambition consumed him. He realized that he could bend the weaker-minded creatures, such as goblins and other bugbears, to his will. In a matter of weeks, he gathered a small band of loyal followers, which he dubbed the Cragmaws.
Under Klaarg's cruel rule, the Cragmaws pillaged and terrorized nearby villages and travelers, leaving a trail of devastation in their wake. Klaarg reveled in the fear and suffering he inflicted, relishing every agonizing scream. The amulet amplified his sadistic tendencies, making him even more dangerous and unpredictable.
As the Cragmaws' reputation grew, so did their infamy. Adventurers and bounty hunters attempted to eliminate the ruthless bugbear and his followers, but Klaarg's cunning tactics and mastery of the amulet allowed him to fend off these would-be heroes with ruthless efficiency. Each failure only strengthened his resolve and bolstered his wicked reputation.
Now, Klaarg resides in a hidden fortress within the Darkwood, surrounded by loyal and fearsome Cragmaws. He sits upon a throne of bones, draped in the skins of his fallen foes, reveling in the chaos he sows. His malevolent laughter echoes through the forest, chilling the hearts of those who hear it. Klaarg is no longer just a bugbear; he has become a symbol of terror and malevolence, the embodiment of evil within the Darkwood. His reign of cruelty continues unchecked, and all who cross his path should beware, for Klaarg knows no mercy and offers no redemption.
3/1/1:
Klaarg is told by King Grol to hold a section of the Triboar trail and to ensure that any caravan that passes by or any dwarf has to be captured. Klaarg tells Yimeek to get a squad to do it. They capture some mining equipment and equipement of Lionshield Coster
3/5/1:
Yimeek wants to use the equipment to arm the goblins but Klaarg would rather report it to King Grol and sell it. They argue, Klaarg in anger sends Yimeek to his own section of the hideout and demotes him.
3/10/1:
Klaarg gets new orders from King Grol to send a bunch of his Cragmaws to attack Phandalin, He sets up a huge assault of Goblins and sends them towards Phandalin.
3/21/1:
Klaarg hears about the prisoners that are held up on the base, he gets his troops to set up outside of the only exit and he sets up an ambush.
3/22/1: Yimeek, goes to Klaarg, and they prepare an ambush outside for the adventurers. Evntually the big brawl begins The ambush is a group of goblins along with Yemik, two ogres and the leader, a huge wolf and a bugbear named Brughor Amber is tasked with fighting the Ogres and the Bugbear. The Goblins are taken care of by Gobey and Gogo and Phalux is passed out along with Aurthum and Sildar. Pippy and the wolves that the squad fed are fighting the big pack wolf. The combat was really deadly. Klaarg knocks out Aurthum and finally gets slain by Amber.
