Introduction
D&D can be an overwhelming game to learn, with many rules, steps, items, places, and generally, things to keep track of.
If you've played D&D before, you are likely to be playing with the official D&D 5e ruleset, which is the groundwork for playing in the world of Toril.
Please read through this introduction to get a general overview of the gameplay that I'm introducing, as well as the alternative rules that is applicable to playing in a campaign setting within this world.
Races & Classes
If you're starting with a new campaign on the world of Toril, you can feel free to choose any of the basic races that are mentioned in 5e. However, if you feel adventurous, don't hesitate to ask your DM to choose a race that isn't mentioned here. If you do so, please make sure that you give this race an appropriate list of Pros and cons, the history and origin of this race, and overall characteristics of this race. It's also important to include racial traits, languages, and other specificities that come with this race. Your request will be prone to change, to make sure that it balances out the gameplay.Rules
There are some rules that have changed from the 5e, but this is limited to a few sets, which have the aim of helping the flow of the campaign. Make sure to read each of the following articles in the "Rules & Guides" folder, and ask any questions whenever needed.World Encyclopedia
Anything you need to know about a specific flower, a type of bark, leading organizations, worshiped gods in a city, or type of trades happening in your region, will be listed in the "World Encyclopedia". This only contains the facts that you already know, so make sure to expand the encyclopedia as you travel and rest.Remove these ads. Join the Worldbuilders Guild
