Scene 2: Top of the spire

The party enters the spire and is welcomed with a thirty-foot-long hall of white stone. At the opposite end of the hall are two twelve-foot-tall doors like those of the entry gate. An eagle carved from a massive timber hangs from the far side of the ceiling, suspended on strong chains. Slender wings of steel sweep close to its sides. Its head is also fashioned of steel.   Three people stand in the room, all dressed in darker leather armor suitable for decent combat. One of which is taller and sturdier than the other, carrying a crossbow. The other two seem smaller, thinner, and less friendly by their looks. The woman with the crossbow approaches you and asks; "If you wish to see the spire, I'm more than happy to give you a tour. Today is a great day to visit, as we're intending to celebrate the knights' feast this evening, commemorating the tenth year of the Feathergale Society".   The party humbly accepts the offer but is unable to notice the subtle sly smile of the knight, as well as the sturdy and menacing face of its comrades. The knight explains that she will take you to see , the leader and founder of the Feathergale Knights. She explains that he's always eager to meet people with an interest in the passion they share in this spire.   Most of the spire's chambers are unnoteworthy, mostly consisting of dormitories, bedrooms, or common areas such as the kitchen. On the second floor, however, they enter a solarium, a bright room occupying the east quarter of this floor. Flowers and shrubs of many varieties grow in a labyrinth of planters. Spidery red and purple plants grow suspended in baskets in mid-air. Humans tend to the plants with robes made out of black feathers mounted on top of each other creating a long gown that flaunts around the floor as they walk. Black leather helmets cover the upper parts of the head as if opposed by a religious belief.   Mounting the spire further, they pass one floor, and when questioned, the knight simply put it as 's chamber. The following mount of stairs terminates at a round stone gazebo that continues upward in a needle-like minaret. Beyond this enclosure, a small lawn grows on the top of the tower. Four paths paved with white stones point the directions of the compass, each path ending in a pointed stone crenellation. At the pinnacle's edge is a spyglass on a tripod, pointed downward. From this vantage point, the Feathergale Knights possess a supreme view of all that transpires in the nearby canyon Sighing Valley and The Sumber Hills beyond.   stands by the edge of the spire, looking out on the valley, whilst two knights sit on top of two giant vultures stationary on the stoned fence.   greets the party with open arms; "Visitors, how lovely! you came just in time for the celebration. What brings you here?" At this point, the characters confront Thurl of the Quest: The Shallow Graves  outside of Red Larch , hoping he might have some useful information as to whom might be lying there. Thurl's face quickly turns from friendly to menacing, right in front of them, asking; "What's in it for you?". The tone quickly changes, and what might at one point have felt like a friendly and harmless visit, was confirmed to be of an ulterior motive.   Neither party wished to speak their truth, and distrust quickly turned to an all-out battle at the top of the pinnacle. With some resistance the party came out on top, murdering Thurl and his adversaries. The battle itself made a commotion, leading to an all-out battle with the whole spire, and despite the overwhelming numbers, the party cleared the whole spire of its habiting knights.   The place now seems rather empty and deserted, now that the living people once habiting the place lay dead in every corner of the pinnacle. Lifeless corpses that one day would rotten, and likely to be eaten by the vultures, griffins, and manticores in the area.   As the party's last act in the spire, they let the captivated vultures and griffons in the stable free, before proceeding on their adventure.   Whether they left the spire as villains or heroes, they themselves don't yet know. Balasad Gamtajar's  belives are shacken from the manslaughter, without a certain fact that the Feathergale Knights, in truth, were evil themselves.
During this scene, the party enters the Feathergale Spire , encountering and his group of Feathergale Knights.   Being introduced to the spire, they get a good view of it's interior, and the people inhabiting it
