Scene 4: The Spire by the Valley

It's the morning after the party's first full day in Red Larch .   Larmon, the local shepherd has agreed to take the adventurers to The Sumber Hills no more than a short day's travel from Red Larch.   Larmon informed the party of Quest: The Shallow Graves that was risen in the close vicinity, that he had noticed the last time he went to graze his cattels.   As you arrive at the location, you find yourself on a barren hilltop a few miles from Red Larch. Four freshly dug shallow graves lie here with the earth scraped out for the holes piled nearby, although hastily gathered stones cover the graves. The faint smell of death hangs in the air, and several vultures circle overhead.   The party doesn't make much of an effort to investigate the graves themselves, as Balasad Gamtajar find it disrespectful to disturb a sacred plot of land.   However, from here they have a good view of the surrounding hills from this vantage point. Several miles to the west you can make out the tiny outline of Red Larch, and the thin dark line marking . Several miles to the north, you see a slender old tower circled by large birds. Nothing else is around here.   Larmon identifies the tower in the distance as Feathergale Spire . All he knows about the place is that knights out of  come up here sometimes, riding on flying monsters. He adds in a manner of almost disappointment, or anger, that they keep to themselves.   The party decides to depart for the tower, as Larmon says that this is as far as he goes, and heads back to town.
In this scene, the adventurers pursue the Quest: The Shallow Graves .   They find nothing of interest in the graves themselves, but they notice the surrounding area and discover the Feathergale Spire .   They leave for the spire.
