13 - Stirges not Sturgis

The Goblin King Qeveshenk approached the castle gates and let out a howl, dropping his axe and jumping down to rush at Peter, who also dropped his Shovel, before the King leaped into Peter's waiting 0arms. Apparently they know each other.   Peter informed them of the Dragon threat. After getting an escort from the Goblins set up for Tybor. We decided to head back to the Orcs previous cabin to get the staff for Falcon before heading to the circle.   We entered the woodland manse and could see the inside was in poor condition and choked with ivy. I moved into the courtyard and peered down the well, but wasn't able to determine what type of plant was down there.   Debeid joined the room and realized that the plant in the well was the blight that had summoned the twigs we had fought previously, and went to find the others to help. I decided to back up to the door closer to the rest of the group, which turned out to be a dining room covered in crude drawings and smashed furniture.   As everyone moved into attack the potentially bad plant I decided to go ahead and cast Moonbeam over it. We managed to kill the plant after quite a bit of it just being a plant as Sahar split from the rest of us to explore the house.   Having not seen or heard Sahar we continue to explore the house looking for a way into the basement when several stirges came flying down the stairs to attack us. After squishing the overblown bugs we continued to search the house. After a while Sahar managed to find a hidden compartment upstairs that contained the staff. After checking the compartment for traps I grabbed an ornate staff with Birds carved on it.   As it had grown late we went ahead and decided to camp at the house.
