Chapter 1
First, we made our way to Neverwinter, enjoying a mostly quiet journey until the end of our second day of traveling. We stumbled upon a group of murderous orcs, each with a necklace made of severed elven ears.
Once in Neverwinter, I ran into Jean Oikodómos; a contact of mine who happens to be looking for skilled laborer for a job in Leilon. Unfortunately, I had much more lucrative affairs to tend to, so I wished him luck in his "community building" endeavour.
I then met some very interesting men. One man, Fritz Boggs, had himself a head for business. We discussed many ventures, and I do believe I may need to be on my toes around this one.
We have roughly four tendays ahead of us on our journey to Bryn Shander. We had plenty of time to discuss the "Frozen Truths of Icewind Dale".
• The sun hasn’t risen for three years. • The three-year night has all but cut off the frozen north from the rest of the Sword Coast. • The Children of Auril demand sacrifices from the people of Ten Towns in the Frostmaiden’s name. • Ancient and powerful secrets lie under the ice. • Shadowy figures lurk in the mountains hammering upon strange black metal. This Auril, and her followers, they seem to be capable of intelligence, yes? I wonder... what justification could they have for their misdeeds? Perhaps service to a kraven deity of some kind? Are they being manipulated by fiends? Or perhaps, they are simply mad. At any rate, this savage frozen land seems in need of a little guidance from the likes of Tell No Tales!
