The Necromantic Ambitions of Ruoom

The Hivemind of Ruoom (HoR), an illithid colony, once attempted to assert their will over the undead creatures overrunning the Dark Pit of Chaos. They believed a powerful magic exists within the elemental ruins which can command the undead. Aware of Acererak's experiments with the Soulmonger and the Deathcurse, Ruoom believed they must also further their understanding of necromancy, perhaps adding an undead melee assault force to their ranks in the process.
They were stopped short, however, by a DAP Squad and a suspiciously generic mage. With their chosen slain, Ruoom abandoned their quest to regroup and seek other means of power.
