Tornea

Slightly smaller than earth with a slightly warmer climate it contains two major continents: Fenlaer and Brenlar.   Wracked by magic storms in ages past Tornea now plays host to seemingly random nomadic portals drawing people from a myriad of other worlds. Natives and Visitors live in relative harmony and the impact of the portals has lessened over the millenia (most arrivals have no idea how they arrived or where they are and the knowledge of the portals is not widespread)   The continent of Fenlaer has been dominated by the Kormethi empire for the last 1,000 years and they control the northern end of the continent.   Brenlar is largely unexplored and little is known about it, though legend has it that there was once a close relationship between its people and thos living in Fenlaer. Historical texts in Kormethia's great library speak of "the decadent priest-kings of Brenlar" so it is assumed that if the continent is still inhabited that it may not be a pleasent place to visit.
