Personal history

Dairr was born on the 5th day of the 5th month, the month of the deity Taphri, to the deity herself. Who is his father is not known, something that some followers of Taphri has taken as a sign that Dairr is not a true prophet of hers.
He was raised in one of her temples, taken very good care of by her priests and priestesses there. During his childhood he was given the best education, but also taken along on trips around the country and out to the people so that he would learn what the world actually looks like and not become too sheltered.
Ever since he was a child he has been regarded as a prophet, and his tranquil manners and compassion for others has just increased his popularity. From a very young age he was known to try and help anyone he could, and he was known to cry at the smallest show of injustice.
As a young man he started preaching in the temple, and soon ventured out into the city and neighbouring villages to spread his words. He has gathered quite the following and has taken two orphans, a girl and a boy, into his custody as his disciples.

Morality & Philosophy

Dairr mostly follows the common principles of those who follow Taphri, namely that love conquers everything, and that there can be no love unless there is faithfulness.
However, while most interpret faithfulness to mean a relationship between two people where no one strays from the other until death, Dairr preaches a more free love.
He says that faithfulness is about communication, and that as long as all parties involved are open to each other and have agreed to the same main concepts of the relationship, there is nothing that stops people from having more than one partner. He is also very adamant that there is nothing unfaithful about breaking up with a partner, quite the opposite, he says, is true: it is very unfaithful to stay in a relationship where you are no longer happy.
These ideas of his has been considered very controversial by some and there are definitely quite a few followers of Taphri who don't agree with this. He has also been accused of being an infiltrator from Aerem, the deity that is most often considered at opposite with Taphri, as they advocate free love of both body and soul between all.
