Lomian Loyalists
"I do believe that we would be better off with them." "But why?! We've just gotten rid of them!" "And have things really been better since they left?" "But they didn't even belong here to start with! This is our lands!"
Political Opinions
The official stand in Tosormi is that getting rid of the Lomian Empire and their royalty is the best thing that's happened to the continent since their arrival centuries ago. Most people see the Empire as invaders and think they never had anything to do with Tosormi to begin with. This includes the lomians who still live in Tosormi, after all most of them have lived here for generations and consider it as much their home as The Wanderers and The Rooted. Despite this there are people who don't agree with this. Commonly just reffered to as Loyalists, or more rudely Empire Boot-lickers, these people think Tosormi would be better off being part of the large Empire. The actual details about why they think this varies a lot, from thinking it's better from a defense point of view, to admiring the Empires vast experience with administrating society. After all, Tosormi was a part of the Empire for a long time and their presence has had a huge impact on the formation of the continent.

History
After almost two centuries under Lomian control, Tosormi regained its independence just 27 years ago. However, although this independence was brought about after decades of unrest, not to mention a lot of interference by the deities, not everyone thinks leaving the Empire was the right way to go. The Empire still have a lot of supporters in Tosormi, especially in the areas where they were the most prevalent before they left.Reception
The Loyalists are widely considered weird, at best mis-informed, and even though the group is quite diverse, there are a lot of preconceptions about them mostly being high ranked lomians who have gotten stuck in Tosormi and now miss their old status. This is mostly not true since most high ranked lomians left with the Empire.Remove these ads. Join the Worldbuilders Guild
I really love this article! I cant even begin to think of how much story material this will create and I’m excited to read them! I honestly have a lot of questions about this article lol. But I guess only a few will suffice for now 1) Have there been any attempts by the Lomian loyalists to bring back imperial rule over Tosormi? 2) Has the Lomian empire ever tried to reclaim Tosormi? 3) How were they defeated? Was it through a revolution by the natives? Overall, I’m keen to see where this article takes us! Go you eta!
