The Creator's Light

The Creator has not abandoned Their creation, how could They ever abandon Their children?
If you look closely up into the sky you might be lucky enough to see Their light go by us.

As far back as there has been a written record, and probably long before that, people have talked about the light in the sky that comes around every 70 or so years, hanging around for some months before disappearing again. Stories about the light have been found all over the world, in pretty much every culture. Just like with the creation story, however, it has universilly been a sign of the Creator, thus giving it the name the Creator's Light.

History

The Creator's Light pops up all the time during history. We don't know when it started to be reffered to as a symbol for the Creator, but it was before the written record.
Some more notable times it has showed up is during the coronation of the third Lomian Emperor where the light was first seen as night fell that evening. This was seen as a sign that the Emperor was divinely chosen and their reign had a surprisingly low amount of uprisings and rebels thanks to this. Later astronomers have calculated that the light would probably have been visible for at least a week before the coronation. It is not known if the records have been changed to fit the Emperor, or if it had simply been too cloudy to see it before that day.

Astronomical Findings

It is nowadays known that the Creator's Light is a cosmic object that is on a very steady orbit around the sun.
The astronomers have named the object "comet" and pointed out that there are more comets than just this one, which explains the texts that recorded the comet coming by just ten years after the last one in the year 289.

Cultural Reception

There is a lot of superstition regarding the comet, with cultures attributing a lot to the presence of the comet.
It is generally seen as a good omen, with things that happen when the comet is visible usually seen as being approved by the creator, although some also see it as a sign that you have to be more careful with what you do lest you anger the Creator.
